If he is good, let him show us on track rather than him/his friends/his fans telling us.
Freddie, What is the problem? Why can't people go 'forum chatting / speculating' on TT about one driver who they know and rate?
It is absolutely no different to all the Fortec this, Suzie that. Comtec Renault the other twaddle touted on this thread.
The one good thing is that there are fewer members participating in Other Single Seaters than all the tosh you get on the F1 Forum. I couldn't give a to$$ about whether Schuey is better than Pantano, or 'did you hear that Juan Pablo doesn't like Ralfy baby'.
I still believe that motor racing success is mainly down to money. If you put the 'slow' F1 drivers in the 'fast' F1 cars and vice versa, the results would be much the same - in relation to the cars, but reversed by drivers.
The above holds true for FR, FF1600, or whatever. There are probably, hundreds of humanoids in the world, who would totally eclipse Schuey's 'achievements' if they had the opportunity, or ££££££s to do it. But they would need to want to do it and probably never would want to anyway.

So let's just get on with participating in 'our' forum world', but please don't take everything so seriously. I love my motor racing and always will, but in the overall scheme of things, what does it matter?

Come back to the forum soon Comtec Renault, it is in dire need of some serious Lewis type 'winding up'

I agree Diz its all good banter! Its just if you give it out like he was the other week about Dutton and co you've gotta be prepared to take it when things don't go to plan a.k.a. the last two tests!

I know its only testing but Renault testing is more realistic than in F3 or F1 it seems. Here's hoping that Conway doesn't run away with it and we do have a good battle, its just the way he went about things at Oulton just seemed so effortless yet he still set the pace!

I think Comtec probably also isnt answering your questions because he has been away testing all week with Renaults and F4/Monoposto's

Ooh! Comtec hasn't posted for a few days! Big bloody wow. Sometimes I stop off the board for a few days because I've got better things to do than post messages on here. Doesn't mean I'm wishing I hadn't said something.

About Stuart - he's got a very level-headed, mature attitude towards the championship - he knows he's not going to win it this year, the combination of new driver, new car and new team means they're up against it. People expected him to do better at the Oulton test, I was one of them. But the truth is that after a few laps any driver at this level should have learnt a circuit layout, then it's a case of dialing in your car, its setup, and yourself, to being quick. Maybe that's not so easy if you've done 20+ races round the track, knowing exactly how to be quick, but in completely different machinery.

My hot tip (and Autosport's) is also Alex Storckenfeldt. The guy improved a lot last year, and he's been saving tyres so far and is still quick. Conway had the pace at the start of last season, he was challenging Hamilton (got a pole at Snetterton) but then went off the boil. He's got the pace, but he needs the consistency throughout the year.

I am bluddy well here I had 2 days at Oulton then the next at Donnington then friday a meeting followed by Martin Donnellys 40th birthday party followed by 750 F4 today at Don that got canned because of the high winds so yeh you could say I have been a bit on the busy side!!!! no excuses we are working very hard to be the best in Renault and I promise you we will be at the top when the racing starts. but it is going to be a mega year, I recon 8 poss winners out in that lot!!remember testing is just that we are not using that many tyres and we are trying lots of set ups so that when we start the racing we can be at the front.Wez is still on his second set of tyres, I have seen many on set 6, we only have 27 total.....now I am going to bed if thats alright...

Gaz, you truly do win the award for posting the most bulls**t on this site. Then again, I suppose you're having to guess 99 per cent of the time. You seem to know very little about what's really going on out there.

Thank you bella! Its only a bit of light hearted banter! This website gets far too dull and serious sometimes! I'm sure Comtec sees it as that, its just a shame you don't!

i think some people are blinded by the fact the reality they see isn't the same as the image that is projected. another problem is that rumour is largely created by those who don't know the truth and like to throw around ideas which then get mentioned by someone else who overheard the conversation/misread the post as fact.
that's the danger, gaz. remember in places like this you're actually talking about real people who a lot of us know, not just in a f1 forum where you're talking about 'figureheads' and media created personalities who are unlikely to read the words.

everyone needs to stop being so confrontational.
