Walshy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Prize Funds

I was having a look today at the Reg's we received for all the FF1600 Championships across the Country. Why is it that the North West Championship, as healthy as it is, has no prize funds..........
The Combe and Star of Midlands Championships do. I didn't have the details on the others. I was told that we don't get prize fund because the Sponsor would have to pay the BRSCC a huge cut if they wanted to give out prize funds. Is this right and if so, the sponsors of the other Championships must be shelling some wedge out to the organising clubs. Or is it just the BRSCC that uses this ruling. Another black mark against our Championship I think.

I know we have some good associate sponsors on board, but when you look at the winners at Croft, they get £175 for a win and our winner gets a "cut plastic" paper weight.

Another string to this is the attitude of the circuit towards us. One incident of this is the episode with the Moose Centre on the test day for the last meeting.

There has been a lot of rumours lately of the Darlington and District Motor Club's interest in our Championship. How does everyone feel about the Championship having a new home of Croft? I was speaking to a competitor in the Westfields at Croft a few weeks ago and he said that the Club would love us. They don't have a single seater Championship and we would probably be guaranteed 2 races at each meeting. And for a lot less. Croft is as far as Anglesey for most, if not nearer and we could still run at other circuits.

Just testing the water here..................

It goes back to what we have previously said in other Threads about the apathy towards our Series. I'll also add that I know there are several members of the BRSCC doig all they can and they are hitting their heads against the proverbial brick wall, but things sometimes need a shake up!!!!!!!!!

kartingdad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I don't think Hutch could stand a visit from the ff1600 crew to Croft.
His house is closer to the track at Croft than the Jackie Stewart centre at Oulton. Retirement? Nah.
Good to have him back? Yeh.

Mind you, he now instructs at Croft for a hobby.

Having said that, he's been showing lots of us how to do it for a while now!

Oh I don't know. We could use his garden as a Camo site.

At least it will have hot showers..........

There is a place on Shudehill in Manchester that does all types of Pots and Trophies. All are well priced and a damn site more tasteful than the Icebergs they got at the last meeting.

I bet if they left them in the window, they would melt in the Sun............LOL

We should worry Natuional Zetecs get exactly the same 'trophy' for a win.

Perhaps we should get asmall one for winning, with a humungous sized one for coming third, That'll either make you aim for fourth or a win!

Is anything near to Rhyl? Even the sea stays away........LOL

More Croft please. Can you sort it Diz. Please.. Croft was great last time... Even a non-championship visit would be fun.... Go on Diz... you must know someone on the board of the D&D motor club.

For anyone that hasn't raced there, some of the corners are fantastic and the spectator viewing is great also....
