V8Supercar v NASCAR poll on SPEED TV

This has just been posted on the SPEED forums in the Sports car forums.
So far it is 90% V8Supercar and 10 % NASCAR, interesting to see what people say.

From what I have heard their leader is the Australian version of the Frances.

Anyway, the V8s are cooler, but sadly they dont race in the US and dont get coverage until the off-season. So, while I like the concept, it isnt easily accesable like NASCAR.

I agree. IMO Aussie V8's are ok, but they dont have the magnitude that NASCAR can provide, after all we only get to watch V8's for like a few months, then its back to NASCAR for another 9 months. Heck I love playing AV8's on Toca, but I will always love NASCAR more, just becase its not all the way down in Austrailia.

I think what some people here are trying to say (emphasis on the "I think") is that Trans Am cars start out as a purpose built tube frame racecar, whereas other series such as the BTCC, SWC & Aussie V8 Supers start out as a regular street car unibody (which must be retained) and then they're made into racecars.
