Pescarolo/Courage hybrids: The same(almost)?
I would be interested to know the differences between these cars. Not so long ago we were expecting two very different beasts. But as news has filtered through the similarities are obvious (chassis/engine).
Will either team have a car to humble the Audi's? Which is likely to be quicker, which more reliable, and will Yves or Henri be wearing the bigger smile at 16:00 on 19th June.

My 2 p (even if specialists fits more the situation here) : the Courage chassis is homologated under the name "Courage", but the Pescarolo car is different enough now to wear the name of Pescarolo.
Both hybrid cars are brand new, and no test has been done yet.
I'm not sure it will be enough to beat the Audis...

Last the we've heard.
Also I doubt that the cars will look alike, different aero thinking between the two...

How do these engines compare? GV5 more BHP/Torque+weight+fuel? Pescarolo seems to be the only team to choose the five litre Judd which I find interesting. Simply a reaction to the underpowered Peugeot engine?

Although I have not seen any images of the actual hybrids, you can see the different approaches that Yves Courage and the guy who did the Pescarolo revisions (I believe it was Mr. de Constanze?) took with the C60...
I'm assuming that Pescarolo will be utilizing those aero revisions that have been made to their original Courage chassis in this new hybrid.
To see the diffeences, with good explanations, got to:
www.mulsannescorner.com
Hope that helps you

Yes, thank you Tim, I had forgotten about MM
If I remember rightly, in 2003 one of the Pescas (the 18 Minassian car I think) ran similar aeros to the factory C60, and the other more like the 2004 spec car.

Pescarolo can't afford much windtunnel work and already tested a 2005 LMP1 aero-kit on an airport runway with Henri at the wheel. André de Cortanze is still penning this updated car, although budget keeps him from doing a proper P1, in most efficient GTP form... What I'm hoping to see with the C60 LMP1 is some more streamlining done on a C65 basis, but the basic elements are already there.

Rollcentre Racing ran the GV5 last year if I recall and will still use one in the non-Nissan car this year. I want to say that NASAMAX has a GV5, but I may be wrong on that one.

Just look at the list of 34 definate entries:
TEAM NASAMAX GBR LM P1 NASAMAX JUDD 4997A
COURAGE COMPETITION FRA LM P1 COURAGE JUDD 3997A
PESCAROLO SPORT FRA LMP 1 PESCAROLO JUDD 4997A
ROLLCENTRE RACING GBR LMP1 - LMP 900 DALLARA JUDD 4000A

Forgot about Nasamax. Combined with last years aero package they were quickest through the speed traps last year if I recall correctly.

Nope - #'s 17 and 18 looked exactly the same to me. The P675 Courage had was similar to the works P900 though
