BMS Takes Delivery of their first DBR9
Story Here
It will be interesting to see how the Pirelli tyre develpment comes along, since the car was built to run on Michelins.

Indeed, although I think Pirelli will be able to do a good job and theres no doubt in my mind BMS will be very much on the pace in 2006.

Are you sure? Have a look at the relationship Pirelli - Lucchini - CARE...

yes, i understand the relationship. - Lucchini (the BMS Team Boss) - Pirelli - CARE
All i was saying was that it will be interesting to see how the Pirelli tire adapts to the DBR9. I was not doubting them at all! BMS is one of the best GT teams in the business, and they wouldnt do something stupid.

The Pirelli question is definitely an interesting one. The Prodrive 550 was definitely built to run on Michelins, and the Pirelli tires took a while this year to approach that level in the LMES according to BMS's own admission. Hopefully the development they've done on the tire this year (as was their stated purpose) will pay its dues on the Aston next year.
I wish they'd run an LMES campaign as well, though. I'd be content with one or two of the old 550s even!

The works paint made me wonder that. I'm pretty sure that the first two chassis were used at Sebring, Silverstone, Le Mans and Spa. Perhaps not at Road Atlanta? Janos, where are you with numbers?
Or perhaps they just sold the thing in works colours to try to get them to show it off in early press photos?

BMS have roughly 6 months before the start of next season , so they should have plenty of time to develope the package together with Pirelli ..... they are doing it right if you ask me .

I noticed today that crash.net says that BMS will begin Data tests at Brno over 17-18th of October and that further tests are planned at Vallelunga and Paul Ricard in the coming weeks. Christian Pescatori will be the driver.
