Where would the V8's go if Shanghai is scraped?
So, where would the V8's go if Shanghai is scraped? Put your ideas here and possibly why the V8's should go there.
P.S, please don't wreck the old thread or a Mod or Admin would come around and put a big shiny lock on this thread

Wasn't the other thread locked because the original poster wanted it to be?

No updates - ho wcan there be as no one has even gone over to China yet? As I said in the two previous threads - why ask all this until it has been officially discussed?

By that argument, why discuss anything before it is announced?

Because until Cattach makes an announcement, whethger we like it or not, the V8's are still scheduled for China - they haven't, as yet, been scrapped (although i would like to see how they could possibly be scraped..)

Heck yeah. i doubt there is another circuit (except maybe bathurst)in australia that could pick up the slack so quickly and with such little marketing time.
I reckon with two weeks notice Winton would pull a crowd of 25k plus

Im with you but the moron polititians would'nt have any of it. All the motel and restaurant owners were angry that the race was cancelled due to the amount of business it brought to Canberra. Still to this day driving around State Circle and seeing the black skid marks from tyre lock-ups brings back great memories.
I think if it came back it should be around september so its warmer and a new location, maybe around the Mitchell or Tuggeranong areas would be easier to get around as well.
