Maybe i missed something...but wasn't Carpentier signed up to drive with Cheever Racing..?

He did the Rolex 24 for Cheever but I don't recall hearing it would extend to anymore than that.

we'll know more about the future of cheever in a week or 2 since cheever says he won't drive in japan because of a Grand-Am commitment (and the fact that I don't think he wants to go to Japan) and that the person who will be his second driver at Indy will.

Has his second driver been confirmed? Perhaps Carpentier could do it if he's still searching for a drive by then.

i think Carepentier said that he didnt find any ride in either series. As far as cheever second ride I think that out now that Red Bull Left.

Hasn't Cheever always stated he would have 2 cars at Indy, though 2 cars for a whole season was never on after Red Bull departed.
Having said that, is Cheever Racing even running at all after Indy as things stand now?

Yes, cheever is definitely running at indy, he wouldn't have come out of pseudoretirement if he wasn't going to run at indy and he plans on running a second car there because he has at least 3 more chassis sitting around the shop with nothing to do and with the lower engine lease price, you can actually break even running a car (at Indy) if you already have the chassis and equipment even with minimal sponsorship.
