Nah Chris there were 15 cars at the first race at Mallory and this should keep going up during the year.
I spoke to a couple of people last night and the Honda grid should be up to about 8 or 10 now as most people didn't get there entry in time for the program.

Should be good although probably very wet

Seeya at the weekend all!

What is it about Cadwell that makes people late? When I spoke to the organiser, he was running late too, and hadn't processed my entry at the time.

Fear not though, you're not alone, according to the timetable, there's only 4 Eurocars (sorry, VSR 6s) running as well!

Sorry I can't make it (again). I'll try and show my face at a few meetings just as soon as they have them in a considerate place preferably not in the far North! Best of luck

I'll still be there, and looking forward to it! Always fancied a trip to Cadwell and it's great to be able to combine that with seeing the mins race again

I must say though that I never realised that it was in such a godawful place to drive to! grr...!

I had a text message from Maisie and it mentioned something about narrow and wet track, sideways........

Just got in... what a splendid 4 hour drive home... not. Good day though! Sadly Chris posted his first DNF - the car started playing up after 6 or 7 laps and had to be parked due to a problem with the fuel pump...

Watch this space for details of the next outing though

Cadwell is awesome - it's truly Bathurst in miniature! The Mighty Mini peeps are a great laugh and really friendly... can't wait for the next one!

At a certain circuit along the road from you, but watch for Chris to start a new topic on this one in a day or so for the details...

Thruxton!? No bloody chance It's waaaay too fast for the Mightys. We do visit Combe though, on the 7th of May..

Excellent! Woohoo - Cadwell is a spot-on circuit! It's got straight bits, tight corners, hairpins, a few wiggly bits, it's wide in some places, and very narrow in others (so narrow, you could practically lie down with your arms spread and touch both sides). All you could want from a circuit.

I love it - but it was a damn scary place at first. Jeezus.

And yes, unfortunately, we had a bit of a 'fuel delivery' problem - but I'll go more into that in my race report, which will be posted on my www.fullthrottle.co.uk site (sorry about the URL)

Congrats to Andy Roberts! Well done for challenging for the lead in the Formula Hondas. It looked pretty spectacular , a very creditable second place..

Thanks to Craig and Sparky (hope you got home alright bloke!) for coming along to cheer me along. I didn't finish, but I had a great time, and the rest of the Mini people are such nice people.

Next stop - Oulton Park, so a few of you have no excuses because it's on your doorsteps That's on the 28th April.. We'll be back at the scenic Cadwell Park track on the 1st of July this year for a double header - don't miss it!

I will be racing again on the 21st April at Oulton, the weekend before the Mini race. This time i'll be running the Maestro in the 750mc Hot Hatch championship. That should be quite scary, considering i've never driven te Maestro, and I've never driven around Oulton either

Cheers Chris. I watched some of your mini race but as I was out in the very next race I had to get down to the assemly area pretty smartish. Bad luck witb the DNF but you were going pretty well before that. The minis look wicked fun to race!

I had a pretty good weekend actually. Despite bending the car on Saturday after the truck had a blowout on the way up we still managed to qualify 2nd on the grid. I got the lead of the start and led the first 4 laps only for it to pop out of sixth on lap 5 meaning I lost a lot of speed on the back straight and lost the lead. Still I managed to finish a very happy second and was even more please when I was told afterwards that I had set the lap record for Formula Honda on my last lap! Pretty pleased with that

Think were both at Cadwell again in July Chris so hopefully our races will be a bit more spread out so I cna watch your whole race this time. Wicked fun though

Wa-hey!! Cadwell is NUTS!! What a teeny tiny circuit - the karts looked too wide! Definately a track you need to be able to drive in your sleep...

I had a bloomin' marvellous time. Took me hours to get home, though. With loads of standing water after Kings Lynn and single lane roads, I was OK until I got caught behind a caravan procession!! Not a dual carriageway in sight...

And for Chris to have made all the efort that he did learning the circuit on Saturday, and qualifying higher than he did at Donington, only to have our little 'mechanical defeat' was a blow to say the least.

Great atmosphere though. Seriously thought Chris had come a cropper on Saturday afternoon - there are far too many 'red Mini with white roof' combinations out there!!

Sadly, I won't be able to make the April 28th at Oulton meeting, but I'll definately be at Castle Combe on the 6th/7th of May.

Great to meet you Andy. Excellent result too. Well done on the fastest lap! See you in July! (Cadwell? We must be mad!)

Excellent news on the lap record Andy!

On the subject of drives home, we managed to get to Lincoln before I realised that the trailer handbrake was on! And after we got on the A1, Mr. Frosty (our G reg Cavalier that tows the Mini) decided he didn't need two of his wheel nuts on the nearside rear, and spat them out. The other two loosened on the way home, and we nearly had a Reliant situation!

Definately a wierd weekend. Must do it again soon... July you say?
