Level 2 Franchises
Pondering through the amazing world that is V8Supercar Franchises, it is interesting to note that the Larry Perkins Jack Daniels Racing outfit run under two seperate Level 2 Franchises.
If you believe what you read, car #7 formerly #24 is Bap/Paul Romano's L2 being leased by Perkins and car #11 is the former #43 of PWR seen in Team Brock paint at selected rounds in 04 at the hands of Krause somebody?
The whole point of raising this subject leaves a few questions open for discussion...
Why are their still L1's and L2's?
Does Perkins or JDR receive any form of recognition or upgrading because their L2's are outperforming other L2's and indeed other L1's?
And is anyone aware of what TEGA have planned for the future of franchises the quantities of franchises?

"Krause somebody" is Davie Krause, a top guy and a pretty good driver, taking his VS to a few wins at the Calder round of the TCC against some newer machines a good indication of his ability.

Yes I forgot his firstname, David Krause. My apologies if I sounded rude or sounded harsh against David. I just remember seeing the name on the windscreen!

Only 21 months till the new 28 car TEGA franchise agreement comes into play... there will be one grade of licence for all.. and for all the same cut

It seems now to be travelling in ever decreasing circles ready to dissapear up its own Backside would be a better word here
Unless, the leading "Development" series teams are offered starts at selected rounds.
Imagine trying to put only 28 cars on the grid at Bathurst.
Im hoping this is another silly April 1 joke!!

To VESA Bathurst is no more important than Queensland Raceway, Tony's said that since 1996 (no sacred sites.....)
Adelaide is the biggie, best Touring Car event in the world according to channel 10 remember

Yes they keep saying that.
Isnt there a popular misconception that if you say something over and over again, eventually it will be picked up as an irrefutable fact?

actually it is the best touring car event in the world. there are none better. ive been to them all and the rest are found wanting
but i guess it comes down to your intepretation of how you define best. or event or touring car

You've obviously never been to Spa (pre-2000 anyway), nor to Bathurst.

there are better touring cars races, but there are not any better events

That i'm sorry is something i cannot understand. Even more so when you realise that TEGA has reclaimed the two L1's ex Larkham, now sitting unused.

Are they gonna ask the fans about the 28 cars?
The back of the grid is already looking thin these days already!
With 35 cars, if you take 28th there's a few cars behind you, you certainly don't look so bad, it's a decent spot really. But if 28th and last it ain't so good! That end of the grid will increasingly have questions asked of them.
Top 25 is decent enough with 35 cars, your getting close to being down at the very back with 31 cars, and with 28 it's seems a poor effort. That can't be good for a category that prides itself that it's a tough ask to even crack the top 20.
