The BIMF (Bathurst Motoring Festival) thread
I thought one thread could clarify a few things, and be a good place for news etc. over the week.
The Skaife/Richards Skyline GTR is in Bathurst for the week. It was scheduled to be runing on the circuit, but the owner could'nt make it, and now the car may not leave the museum.
The car's minder told me, however, that if Jim or Mark were here, that the car could be seen on track. I mentioned that Cromley is on the entry list for the Aussie Racers, and that he had a podium finish here (Bathurst) in the GTR, and might make a suitable pilot...

I thought Cromley was in an Aussie Racing Car as well?
Damned rain, just when I thought I had left the cold weather in Tassie!
Driving up tomorrow lunchtime, looking forward to it bigtime!

I believe the Aussie Cars races will be televised on Foxtel and SBS, time and date to be advised. In addition the ARC organisers plan to produce a DVD covering each of their events, to include lots of in car camera action also!

Yes, I'm on the ground.
The Nissan Skyline GTR R32 is a red #1 Winfield ('92 colours)
No cameras yet, but AVE are here putting together a package. Nothing live, but i think the Aussie Racers, GTs and maybe others will be televised at a later date.
It's spookily quiet here. Only two transporters (one a Jim Beam doorslammer, the other a GRM one that I hope has a Monaro inside...) and pretty much no team stuff here.

Do this weekends Aus GT and ARC races form part of their respective championships.
As if they do, atleast from a GT perspective, you can see the events on Channel 9, SBS, Foxtel

not quite sure what your question is ... but, this weekend is not part of the ARC Championship. This was decided very early before other factors such as having to add aero packages to the cars to improve safety on such a fast track and that the drivers need a National Lic and almost 50% of this years ARC drivers don't have (last year most of the guys did though)
