Don't think so... the Honker was produced by Holman and Moody to run in Can-Am against the predominantly-Chevy powered opposition. It used an iron block pushrod Ford V-8 (427?), and not the all-alloy Double Four Valve. I can understand your confusion, as they do look somewhat similar- but I was at the BOAC 500 in 1968 (when Jim Clark should have driven the car, but instead went to some piddly little F2 race in Germany with the uncompetitive Lotus 48), and they F3L was physically a smaller car....

Ferrari 330P4. Lola T70 Mk. 3B, and the Plymouth Roadrunner/Superbird-cum-Dodge Daytona.

Thanks Clive, I am very much aware of the differences between the Honker and the F3L. (Also that the Honker came first...), but they do look rather similar.

The design came from the same person that did the F3l.

This will always be my favourite car in terms of beauty, style, performance & inherent collector value... The magnificent Ford GT-40

Jordan 191, before they painted it. There was an article in Autosport, showing it in its bare black carbon fibre. In recent years, there's never been an F1 car with such purity of line.
Prettiest ever? Impossible to decide. Sports cars tend to be more "beautiful" to look at. Hard to argue with most of the candidates proposed. Except for Paul Tracy's truck!

It's hard to vote against the Chevron B16 or Lola 70 coupe but my favorite will always be the original ADF formula ford. Just stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it in the early 70's.

The Elfin 300 Sports Race Car is a gorgeous looking little car, prettier by far than the later, larger sports cars released by Elfins. In a few short years after 1967 they developed a menacing demeanour!! The ME5 in particular had plenty of aggresive lines in it......

Not much a single seater affiniado, but I do have a few favorites among them.
The Talbot-Lago T26 in striking French blue is an all time favorite.
The 1980s MP4-generation of McLarens were pretty and quite simple cars to look at.
The 1985 Ferrari 156/85 for the same reason and for its silver and gold colored rims.
Otherwise I favour the Porsche 962 over its 956 predecessor for better over all proportions.
Another sportscar to lure my eyes is the Lola T70 coupé - before fins were added, that is.
Among saloons I'll go for the BMW 635CSi group A cars. The Australian Gardner/JPS cars even managed to add some more class to the brilliant design of the car.
The 1984-1987 TWR Jaguar XJ-S' is another favorite in their green with white mid band stripe.

I will go with that the GT40 has to be the best sportscar shape ever.

Another vote for the GT40, but in Mirage form. Just needs to lose the front 'add ons'!

I`ve always had a soft spot for the Williams FW06 from 1977......and I think the Lotus 91 deserves a mention!
