S60 Challenge have only mustered 8 cars for this weekend. This was their chance to show that STCC was wrong in ditching them, but they seem to have missed it.

Eight cars. Pretty embarrassing.

What's the weather like down south?

Faraas will probably be hard to stop this year in JTCC.

I agree, with the best guys moving up to STCC he has to be the favourite. It will still be interesting to see what Reinberth can do though; he's a rookie from Karting and Eljas is a very good team.

yeah, I get these times from MyLaps, which seems to work a bit so-so at times.

Nice to have Carrera Cup mustering 20+ cars atleast. But now to some bad news: there won't be a Superbike race tomorrow! The Swedish Motorcycle Association SVEMO had cleared the track after a saftey inspection - Sturup had invested a fair bit of money into the track to get the security up to acceptable security for motorcycles. But the riders themselves rejected this clearing and thus there won't be a race tomorrow. 25 superbikes goes home without turning a lap... And leaves a sizeable hole in tomorrow's program. I wonder how popular the Superbike boys are at Pålsson, Huzell & Co now...

I'm in position at Sturup, the weather was nice today, sunny but a bit cold - 10 degrees. No STCC-runs today (remember that this is a TC forum ), but tomorrow it's all action!

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Any news on Carrera Cup mates? And its winners in both classes

It's really nice to see Swedish and Danish TCCs doing so well, and having such a big audience, TV coverage and grids with support races. IMO it looks much better than BTCC.

BTW. Any live timing from Sturup. LT covering all classes competing?

Livetiming: http://www.mylaps.com/liveresult/liveevent.jsp?id=23

However, it doesnt make much sence to me...
I can however see that Dahlgren was fastest on this mornings warmup just ahead of Stippler, Göransson, Björk, Rudholm and Ekblom in 6th. The laptimes however seem to be a little f***edup.

Heres the timetable for this afternoon:

12.30-12.50 STCC Qual
12.55-13.15 STCC Super pole
13.35-14.05 Superbike Race
14.15-14.35 Carrera Cup Race 2
15.00-15.40 STCC Race

And heres a nice little map of the new track:

Not any real high speeds on this track, but it does have some fast flowing corners with some very tight and tricky corners at the end of the lap, should be interesting, I also heard it was raining down there, donno if its raining at the track right now, but it looks very likely to be a wet race. They should have races last weekend when we had 20 degrees and real summer weather here in the whole Sweden.

BTW, lets see how many tracks you can come up with that they have borrowed cornernames from, I can see atleast 3 or 4 right now.

Thank you very much mates. I'm at Donington at the moment but will attend the second round of Carrera Cup.
