Hernandez was just getting in to shape, with 3 runner-up scores in the last 4 races. The reason is probably money...

Maybe because of the big crash in Pau with D'Aste and Hernandez involved?

Roda is much much slower than Hernandez... So at least money is the reason why they picked him.

I´m expecting Huff as a race winner here.Very light car, and he won here last year, proving that the circuit suits the car and the driver.

And I´m really curious about the performance of the Seats after their new and completely unexpected (...) "bonus" from the FIA. If I were them, I would wisely decide between the weight reduction and the motor "upgrade". If they choose the weight reduction, I guess they will perform very well in Brno.

chevy's could do well here as brno has lots of straights on between the s curves so it's gonna suit the faster cars

I guess Hernandez was putting his focus on his ride in a GPC Ferrari 430 in the LMS too (since he missed a WTCC round for it), which may factor into the decision as well. He is a pretty quick hand though, so somehow the $$ must come into the equation.

Shame Beltoise hasn't had a longer deal to race - he was quite useful in the Exagon car at Pau.

SEAT GIVE NEW ENGINE TO JORDI GENE
In Brno Jordi Gené will be the first SEAT Sport driver to use the new engine with the 13:1 compression ratio during a race weekend.

"We have tested it before, but we are still not sure about the reliability. However we think that is worthy to take the risk and try it in the races," SEAT Sport director Jaime Puig said.

Using the new engine means that Gené loses the benefit of the 25-kilo reduction granted to SEAT by the Touring Car Bureau.

"The engine delivers 5 or 6 bhp more, and although we feel that this and the weight reduction are equal benefits, we hope the engine helps Gené to solve the problems we have with top speed," explained Puig.

Nice performance of Portiero and Rangoni!
Jourdain also seems to get used to the Seat.

Roda seems to be a disaster...

Jorg Muller and Farfus penalised for setting fastest laps under yellow. Huff too, but only fastest lap taken away so Huff stays where he was regardless.

Limited interest today...is some other race going on
