yup we sure have, ahhh my famous sayings on ye olde ten tenths .

and i agree, in qualifying i was sttod just after the bridge over hangar straight and under braking it sounded fabulous the LMP1 zytek, it was my brothers first proper race meeting and hearing the backfires he shouted rather loud "****ing hell thats amazing!!!", shows a normal person can be more fascinated by a LMP car than a F1 car .

still need to convert my brother to being a fan of the LMP's, he is practically obsessed with the astonmartin's and the saleen's, that changed somewhat when at petit we were stood just before the braking point for turn 10 at about 9:30 at night and the works zytek P2 sounded just astonishing

and now i think its about time lola popped some pictures of their new baby on here!, i seriously cant wait for the coupe lola's, if it looks like the renders it will be a damn sexy looking car, prettier than the pug for sure! , now watch me get stoned to death next year at LM for saying that.

Maybe old news to some on here. There has been a photo of the windtunnel mockup of the car on Mulsanne's Corner for a week or so.

Actually its damn butt ugly! The ONLY redeeming feature is that its a coupe but the bubble/greenhouse is too narrow! Now if it looked half as good as the mazda of old GpC, or even the Spice Cosworth let alone the 962, not forgeting my personal favourite C9 Sauber/Mercedes.
I know Im alot older than you and opinion is in the eye of the beholder and all that but the Pug is not even as pretty as the old pugs and they were just F1 cars in drag!

God, even the Jag XJ's were prettier!

ETA: And quicker!

The only thing I don't really like about the 908 is its livery

The white/red nose, the white cabin and the rest being black it looks like a car being partly painted and not finished...

Completely black or completely red/white would have been nicer looking

The livery looks indeed cheap and not finished. The first photoshop image of 908 looked much better.

Very interesting interview with Julian Sole (Chief designer, Lola Cars) discussing the design of the B08/60 and B08/80 on Endurance-Info.com.

Nice to see more inclosed cars being constructed!

I just hope that some fans don't get the wrong impression and perceive the new cars as a re-design or re-introduction of the GTP or Group C cars from the 80's and early 90's. The level of competition that was witnessed in that era of racing is one that in my opinion can never be re-created.

I think all here will agree at how fantastic the Group C/GTP era was. It may not be able to be recreated in the sense of 1,000hp qualifying setups. But. Given the right and stable regulations package we could maybe see that kind of interest again.

RaiseYourFist has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Ugh im hating the look of these modern prototypes, why cant they just go back to the chasis regulations of group c?!

Also why are the sides of all the prototypes higher then the front splitter? Is this for performance or regulations?
