Red Pike Raceway.

My second track here, after Samson Park which was posted some time ago now. There hasn't been much activity so I thought I'd post another. I'm calling it the Red Pike Raceway. It runs clockwise and is uphill all the way through turn 2. The track remains on a higher elevation until the spoon at the top left of the diagram, where the gradient falls to rejoin the lowered track along the start-finish straight. It's not as big as Samson Park, coming in at probably around two and a half miles - and despite its basic appearance would hopefully prove useful for testing and for lower category events, including bike racing.

Any thoughts?

Ain´t bad, ain´t my favourite. Maybe a bit too many hairpin type corners. And BTW where would you put the pitbuilding.

Yeah, the scale looks a bit wrong for it being 2.5 miles (4km) as the S/F would be close to 1km in length. Based on that, and you elevation guide, there wouldn't be space for a paddock.

A bit Dijon-esque. But I'd put the pit lane on the outside of the track, where there's enough room. Plus there wouldn't be such a problem with pit entry and run-off at the last turn.

There might be a need for some adjustments. Perhaps I'll have a think.

I'd alter the left hand side of the track a bit. I don't really think the arrowhead hairpin fits in and the last couple of corners seem to be a bit stop-start and too close to the straight. I'll have a go tomorrow when I have a bit more time

The grey is tarmac run-off as opposed to gravel. I've shaved a bit off near the pit lane for more space, and the same reason for making it a bit long (entrance is similar to Malaysia). The last corner isn't as tight but still should allow slip-streaming into turn 1, although in general I think overtaking could be a bit tricky

The new bottom left section is a good variation of the circuit, but the pitlane definitely needs to be on the outside. Feel free to look at Zandvoort to find out why.

With the extended pit lane I was thinking the pits would be on the left side of the corner that comes close to the pit lane

I don't really think this would be an international circuit, certainly not F1, so a large pits complex wouldn't be needed anyway. Don't know whether that was Chiefy's original aim or not

I understand the issues with the pitlane though it isn't intended to host F1. Maybe lower classes with less equipment. Otherwise it should see use as a test track. Perhaps it would've been smarter to relocate the pitlane - but happen this will do!
