Well as you know, I saw that and I too sympathise. Get off line there and there's only one result, so I do hope the car can be rebuilt (I love Fulvias). Certainly it looked like a straightening job rather than a new shell.

It's not a real problem, because Mallory was just to get me back into the seat in time for Spa. And these guys take no prisoners so as far as racing is concerned, I have no problems. It just makes me concentrate more.
Mallory is short and fast and it does bite, but as a f'rinstance, Michael Pearson in his TR4/5 (can't remember which) had a great time, although in our race he joined me with the CoC to complain purely because he was one of those who was overtaken under yellows. So the complaint is not about the result, rather that if we are asked to behave as professionals (and I really mean no disrespect to the CoC or his staff - bottle of Gin on the way there ), then please make sure the observers and timekeepers do the same.
We lost out because someone cheated (I know he wasn't in the briefing).
It made no real difference to the result for the spectator but for those of us sweating it out in the cars, it is a big thing.

Pantelis was originally given four points on his licence for overtaking under yellows behind the SC in your race. He was then given more for doing it again in the Allcomers race. Having not been told about the first before committing the same sin a second time he appealed on those grounds, and consequently the stewards removed the second lot of points.
I also understood that he had been excluded from the races, but no results that were published bore that out.

Sad.
Purely because he's a great driver (perhaps he's got the budget to be so) and he wasn't the only one, as the CoC knows.
I'm just going to up the agression levels now.
On the subject of great drivers, I spoke to Vince Woodman and his enthusiasm was fantastic. Not only does he love that car (the drop dead gorgeous 3.4 GAA Cologne Capri) he's got it's history running through him.
We need him out next year.

A major correction. It is a big thing for the marshals. My apologies.

I've come to the conclusion some 'great' drivers aren't so, they just have oodles of time and money, nothings ever been different in motorsport has it ?
Pantelis is more than capable don't get me wrong, but he's not racing a budget car either, and Nick knows how to make em go

No, I've watched him and the guy can drive the nuts off a car. He's just sensible enough to be able to afford it.
Like I said if that's the game I can play it too.

Hi Peter! Sorry I didn't get to talk to you yesterday I seemed to be at the wrong end of the Pit Lane when you were around - still thanx for the waves.
It's great watching the cars go round Gerrards from the start of the inside of the curve.

Picture from Matthew Barrington with thanks.
There are others and I will put them on my website.
The Beemer is being driven by Mags Diffey. We have a painting by Andrew Kitson of me exiting Eau Rouge being chased by this car.

I took some [shocking quality] videos of quite a few of the races with my phonecam, including one of the 'leading group' just after the SC came in in your race Peter, and then showing the gap to the other 4 cars (about 30ish secs IIRC), then the lead group again.
Should be up on U-Toob sometime later this week.

Peter the observers and the Clerk of the Course obviously did there job correctly as the driver concerned was penalised and as Ian has said there was a Stewards inquiry into this which continued way after racing had finished.
