Thanks Luke. I had my head between my knees, could not believe it. Wasn't it great that we had an awesome fight right up to the very last lap (just like last year). Well done to Dario for getting the championship, if Scott had to lose it to someone I dont mind it was Dario, he was quietly my second pic but I didn't want to tell you all that (staying true to Dixie up till the end). Both these boys can be mighty proud for a great season.
JohnSSC Dario also ran out of fuel after crossing the line, I think if Danica had not spun both Dario and Dixon would have had to do a splash and dash, would not have really mattered where they finished as they were only battling each other. I have not seen Danica's spin so can't comment on that this is just more about the what if she hadn't.

Really proud of the way Scott handled himself in the post race interview- he "took it on the chin" like a man.

Congratulations to Dario and what a year he has had. Great days racing with the closest finish ever in the IPS race as well.

I think Dario stalled. As they gave him a rope tow, he restarted and drove into the pits under power.

Well that capped off a super exciting season of IRL racing, didn't it. Awesome year had by both Dario F & Scott D, perhap it was fitting it was decided at the 2nd to last corner of the season between the pair, who were both humble in victory and defeat through out the year.
Bad luck Scott, and well done Dario. Your both champion drivers.

Great race, great result. He's always been the guy who could never catch a break but he's won a major title at last!

What a fabulous finish that was - 2 laps, winner takes all - the way all championships should be settled; it was probably the best bit of racing I've seen all year. Big congratulations to Dario and commiserations to Dixon who gave it everything. And best of luck to Dario for whatever he chooses to do next.

Fantastically dramatic finish to one of the most exciting series closes I've followed in a loong time. Congratulations to Dario, and well fought Scott Dixon.

Congrats Dario, a shame for Scott, but then he does already have a title under his belt.
I thought that Ashley Judd was a bit harsh (on Danica) when she said that Dario had no help as Tony was on a different stratergy. I'm not too sure what Danica was supposed to do? She was in a no win situation. She seemed faster than Dario, and obviously wanted her first win, but at the same time wasn't prepared to pass.

"You saw the Penskes work so well and the Target guys work so well, and my sweet little husband was just out there with the bloody sharks," Judd said after the season-finale at Chicagoland Speedway. "They just sharked him all day. And he never gave up hope. He just hung in there and ... was in a great position. And I know that this is not very sportsmanlike, but they've got to get the 23 car (Duno) off the track. It's very dangerous. I'm tired of holding my tongue. When a car's 10 miles (an hour) off the pace, it's not appropriate for it to be racing. People's lives are at stake."

The Target guys work well?, I thought Wheldon was out there battling with his teammate
