Paul Newns should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Get Well Chris

Many people will know Chris Maries. He's raced all sorts of things for more years than he would probably care to admit to. Unfortunately, Chris was involved in a serious shunt at Oulton today and suffered (I believe) a punctured lung, broken ribs, and a broken arm. Chris is a good friend of the marshals at Oulton and I'm sure we would all like to wish him a speedy recovery

Heard the news this morning at sign on at Anglesey. I know how sore broken ribs can be without the rest of the injuries. Hope you get better soon Chris and we'll be looking for you on the grid next season.

Unfortunatley Chris clipped his brother Dave on the run down from Hill Top and was pitched into 6 rolls along the barrier.

It appears that Chris will remain in the Countess of Chester Hospital for the next few days, not up for visitors, but not life threatening.
Injuries are basically as detailed earlier.
I join the rest of you in wishing the "little fat fella" a speedy recovery.

Saw Chris Saturday after second practice with the new marshals and he was his usual barrel of laughs and full of encouragement for the newbies.

All the best Chris and see you soon!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery from Matthew and his dad,

Getting the 2nd race into Assembly was a bit of a strange affair with several of the top runners missing in action from the 1st race

CHRIS MARIES

Just heard about Chris's accident at Oulton, although I haven't seen Chris for a few years I still remember the battles we had as a racing highlight.
Get fit soon Chris we need more racing Grandads or is it Great Grandad ?

All the best hope you recover fully and quickly see you soon.
