Rules
The results will be taken from formula1.com, who are about a reliable arbiter of results as I can think of.
If there’s a dispute following a race, I can change and update the results. However I shall only do this until the end of the season. If the whole championship gets into doubt, I shall take the results as they stand on formula1.com on in November after the final race in order to establish a definitive winner.
In the unlikely event of two players being tied on points at the end of the season, the tie break will be decided by looking at your predictions for 1st place. IE We’ll see how many times during the season you correctly predicted the winner, the player with the most correct first place predictions wins. If that doesn’t resolve it, we’ll look at your second place predictions, then third and so on until we get a result. If we still have a problem we’ll count how many times you guessed the pole sitter, the fastest lap and finally, who made the closest pole lap time prediction throughout the season. The mathematical chances that this won’t produce an outright winner are almost impossibly small.
Question marks hang over whether there will be a race at Bahrain. If the race doesn’t go ahead, It’ll just be deleted from the competition. If a race is started, but there are freak conditions which mean that no driver scores any points, or there are not 10 points scoring drivers in the classified results, such as in the US GP 2005, we shall again delete the race and not count it towards the results of this competition. There are two caveats to that. 1 If it is due to attrition or mechanical failure that does not cause injury, we shall count drivers down to 10th place based upon how far they progressed into the race. 2. If it is due to an accident that causes injury or fatality, in the interests of respect and decorum, we shall not count that race.
If there is a race but it doesn’t go the full distance, the finishing positions will still count as a full race result with full points counting on this site, even if the actual drivers don’t get full points in the championship.
If a driver receives a penalty, it will only be applied here if it affects their classified race position as published on formula1.com. If they get points docked but their placing is not affected on the race result, the result stands here.
We are working on a way of breaking down exactly how you scored your points in each individual round. But a full description of the points system can be found here.
We will not accept entries for a race after a qualifying session has commenced under any circumstances.
You must create a login with a username that matches your Ten-Tenths username to enter.
You do not have to enter every round of the competition in order to win the competition. The winner shall be the entrant with the highest points total after the final race results are in.
If you are banned from Ten-Tenths.com forums for any reason, you will also be disqualified from this competition.
All the rules that apply to using Ten-Tenths.com shall apply to this competition.
The competition administrators decision on any matter is final.
