I'm sure everyone who has marshalled at OP will send Cliff their very best for a good recovery. Grand introducer of new marshals and a fund of knowledge and entertainment (and a very good flag marshal when we could drag him away from helping the newcomers).

Best wishes.

We are all sad to hear Cliff is in poor health at present. He is one of the true unsung heroes in marshalling and I wonder just how many first-timers became marshals as a result of meeting Cliff first! It was Phil Morom at Silverstone for me when I joined and I am sure it was Cliff at Oulton for so many more.

June recalls her regular conversations with Cliff on Dog House memorabilia; Cliff is something of an expert here, too!

Get well soon, Cliff.

Best Wishes

Get well soon Cliff this is will be my 2nd full season as a marshall at Oulton Park his tour round Oulton Park is brilliant, one of the reasons why I am a marshall, was the history of the place and looking at the photos of the history he shows you at the end. Get well soon Cliff, is there any news on Cliff does any one know.

Latest update on Cliff.

He is on the mend and taking long walks (training for Oulton?) and awaiting clearance to drive again.

He sends his thanks for all your good wishes.

Good news indeed.
.
The Cliff walks were a thing of the future when I did my marshalling, but Cliff was helpful to me and fellow newbies in the dim and distant 60s'. Thing is, he seemed old to me then, so heaven knows how old he is now. Look forward to seeing you in March Cliff

Good to hear that you're on the mend and I'm looking forward to seeing you at the training days in February.

I saw Cliff yesterday and had a little chat.
He was on one of his walks but had "Mislaid" his car in the Hospital grounds.

Well, we all have "senior moments" Glad to hear that Cliff is up and about and practising for his return to Oulton. But just how many marshals posts are there in the hospital grounds?

For any Oulton regulars who weren't there today, Cliff is back. I had the pleasure to speak to him several times in the paddock and on post and although he isn't quite back to his usual self he was reminising about the old days and passing incisive comments about the changes made to the circuit over the winter. It was great to have him back at his spiritual home again.

Absolutely, he managed at least two laps! Very good to see him back out again and looking fit and healthy. You can't keep a good man down.

The high light of the day was the site of Cliff sauntering up to us in the fire truck and saying that he only had 15 yards to go before he finished his first lap. Nice to see you back sir!
