Bennetts Qualifying
i only caught the car coming towards me with a bit of damage to the front left. Anyone shed any light on it?

Damage incurred after running into the back of Luke Hines Production Civic on track. I've heard that Hines was apparently dodging about on the track quite slowly when Bennett came round the corner and bang! Think it happened at Paddock ?

It happened on the entrance to Clearways.
Hines pulled off the racing line, onto the left, as he was going to go into the pits at the end of the lap, and he didn't want to block his team-mate, Blencowe, who was coming up behind him. Blencowe got past, as did one of the MGs...but Bennett went straight into the back of him. I'm the last person to defend Luke Hines usually, but that was not his fault. |

I caught that crash on my video camera and Barwell borrowed the camera to show the footage to the TOCA clerk of the course and it clearly stated that luke and Alan were way off the racing line and Bennett just locked up and went straight into the back of luke. It was 100% avoidable.
