That's my view, I confess, but they do have to be 'selected' to be reserves. A different meaning to the 'other' selected, I guess....

Hmm, and just what does it say at the top of this list?

No real problem here with debate for the sake of debate! But that sounds a useful idea.... Interesting to see an Audi on the 'Book Your Tickets' banner above the entry list on the ACO site..... |

He was assigned to ProSpeed Competition to race in the European FIAGT2 Championship. There was a clause in his contract allowing him to race additionally with another team provided there was no clash, so he signed with JMW to compete in the LMS and Le Mans. But, with the collapse of the European FIAGT2 Championship, ProSpeed have now switched to the Le Mans Series instead, which is where JMW are racing. End of contract with JMW.........

No need, 'Reserves' are not invited to 'THE ADMINISTRATIVE CHECKING & SCRUTINEERING'. Reserves are reserves, until they are selected.

for the Le Mans Series.
As Prospeed long confirmed there Le Mans lineup as Paul van Splunteren Niek Hommerson Louis Machiels even though Westbrook had a contract with Prospeed when they confirmed there entry and drivers, leads me to believe Westbrook will either still be with JMW for Le Mans or he will not be racing at Le Mans this year. |

OK, understood - thanks James. (It's a good thing one of us going to Le Mans knows all this in-depth technical stuff - it'll be nice not to be perceived as the LM 'anorak' for a change this year..... ) |

Not out of the question that he'll end up at JMW for Le Mans, but JMW have said, post Westbrookgate, that 'the third driver will be confirmed at a later date'.

I disagree. The reserves are selected and invited to, if there is a withdrawl. From the ACO's wording in Art. #3 of the Le Mans SSR for entries; http://www.lemans.org/files/reglemen...lier_fr_gb.pdf [LEFT] Quote:
The ACO use the word allowed here not selected. As well as other indications that the reserves are full entrants until the cutoff date.

Anybody's got any wind of who the other two drivers in the Dome will be?
It'd be so sweet to hear Dome hired Jan Lammers for it again...for oldtime sake. He still is fast. |

i guess if there's no GT withdraw, and Porsche Motorsport wants Henzler to race for Germany(also the home of Porsche AG) team F-Proton,they could find a reason to make the#77withdraw so the #88 could in.but probably they won't do that.FELBERMAYR is the company support the team a lot just like Matmut to IMSA-p,also they don't give a lemans series seat for the father and the son this year,so they should let the Sr race for proton at LM24 for a few laps(when Lieb and Liez are tired, but this team often have bad luck and could not keep their car on track for a long time at LM24 since 2007 they race a 997GT3 RSR under"SEIKEL Motorsport"),make him happy to continue support the team as Title sponsor(maybe u call it named-sponsor,sorry that i am not good at english).

In any case, it's probably a bit futile debating this unless we know 100% what the ACO really meant in the rules about confirmed drivers in reserve entries. |

hopefully BMS will get the latest updates for their Porsche, last year, their car raced at FIA GT under the banner of BRIXIA RACING is a 2008 spec RSR with a 2009 spec 4.0L engine. Also,if Porsche couldn't be fast enough at LMS & ALMS before LM24,maybe they will change to the 911GT3 R-style bodykit like the 2nd-gen 997GT3,RS roadcar and the 2010 GT3 Cup,but they also have a special package for Lemans track last year...

It's April 1st, so I'd take that with a very large pinch of salt.

Very sad news.
Dome announced that they would abandon participation in Le Mans. The contract between Dome and OAK seems to have broken down. Minoru Hayashi announced a very long comment. It is extremely difficult to translate this comment. In a word, Dome's car is to cost very much. OAK offered to want to make the tire not Michelin but Dunlop. Moreover, to hand over the car by a top condition, they demanded. And, it broke off the contract. Dome say that they keep developing S102. http://www.dome.co.jp/column/dt_63g.html |

Dome insisted that the promise of not allowing pay driver to run had been broken, too.
