Yep. On my campsite - that's zero. There's nothing to hear but silence. |

Even the cheapest generic supermarket sleeping bag should be good enough for Le Mans especially if you have some sort of sleeping mat or airbed to insulate you from the ground.
If you get cold, just stick on a woolly hat. |

i'm a proud cheap generic supermarket sleeping bag user, it's used as a blanky and with full length jim jams it's pretty good. it does get a little bit chilly at about the 5am time pretty much anywhere in europe, but depending on the climate you're coming from will depend how much you feel it.
i can recommend wooly ski socks as an emergency thermal solution |

I carry a fleece blanket with me at night, just in case it gets to cold.

Thick socks are of course a must - if your feet are cold then the rest of you will be too.....

can i just be a little bit of a hippy and say this is exactly why i love le mans? it's not just about the race, is it? it's about the fact people from all over the world put all their stuff in a hanky, tie it to a stick and make their way over by whatever means necessary for this huge gathering. everyone gains something different from the same journey and the same event.

Just look around the campsites - people with Ferraris and Aston Martins cheek by jowl with those in beat up hatchbacks, and everything in between, with the shared enjoyment of being there leveling everything. Think deep down it's why all of us keep coming back. |

I fully agree - Le Mans wouldn't be the same without the mix of people
