Yannick Schroeder
Yannick Schroeder has been going well since Jerez test.
I hear he has a new engineer. Gary Davies. He was Bjorn Wirdheim's engineer at Arden last year. He left there and joined Brand, but left Brand after the Imola test. Hope to see Yannick a regular point scorer! |

I think Charouz can suprise this year. They have 2 good drivers, Janis wasn't so good at Imola, but he will be back in Spain I think and both can be regular point scorers, and maybe takes some podiums (or a win)!

Yep, was pretty impressed with Schroeder in the race, he did a good job. But on the subject of Brand - what's happened to them?? As a new team, they were probably always going to struggle a bit, but they hired Kid Jensen, Tomas Enge's 2001 engineer from Nordic and as has been mentioned, Bjorn Wirdheim's engineer from Arden, probably two of the best engineers going. KJ was there at Imola, but the two engineers both left before the season started and to see Minassian in such a woeful car was painful. Hope that they can pull it all together for Minassian's sake, he deserves a decent car and the Imola race was certainly no fair indication of his pace.

I am sure Brand will pull it together. Minassian is an experienced driver, and should be able to develop the car. I am sure he will be quicker in Barcelona.

Schroeder was impressive in the last tests, and he is already in the points, that's great!

Is that the same Kid Jensen who is a Radio DJ in england? The one who used to run Kid Jensen Racing?! I did not know he could engineer. Impressive stuff, BTW whatever happened to KJR? Is it still going?

After 1999 and 2000, in 2001 Kid Jensen Racing "sold" their F3000 entry to Monaco Motorsport. Many of their components moved to European Minardi F3000, along many of the sponsors of the team, what stayed with that team only for that year.

Cheers, but can Kid himself engineer an F3000 car?

No. He's only at Brand for PR work.
You're mis-reading Mr Hahn's post: Kid Jensen joined Brand AND Enge's old Nordic engineer (Brad Joyc) AND Bjorn's old Arden engineer (Gary Davies) |
