'Pologies to you all. Think I may have been a bit mean, but I'm better now.

It just galls me that, while he is undeniably talented, he's not that much more talented (if at all) than many of the other drivers. I mean, loads of these guys really are brilliant racing drivers. Alan Van-Swerver, for instance, was storming away with the championship, and all the media attention then focussed on Piquet. And you just know that he's the most likely of the current crop to make it in F1 (and I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to), but he has an unfair advantage in attracting the attention he needs to make it on account of his not being Martin Smith from Croydon. Still, he did, finally, pull off some cracking overtaking moves at the Rock. And I obviously hate him for that. |

You have to realise that Nelson Jr is learning all the tracks while racing on them, surely this shows his class?

...as are a load of other guys!
Nah, you see, IMO, by the time Sunday comes, and particularly the second race, you're no more a stranger to the circuit than anyone else is, what with testing, practice and qualifying. I don't reckon that has as much impact as people say. What shows his class is his position in the championship, and his history in the South American championship, and the fact that he's only a kid, bless 'im. |
