NZ Rally - Car numbers
Why did some of the Group N cars like Possum Bourne, Cody Crocker etc... run with numbers 102, 103 etc... in the Rally of New Zealand? I thought there was a 90 car limit on World Championship rallies nowadays.

Looking at the entry list for NZ it appears that the numbering sequence went as follows
The works WRC teams had their usual numbers (1-20). The Priority 3 GrpN cars had numbers in the range 50-80 and the other runners (Grp A/ N) were numbered between 100-150. |

Some rallies (if not all) do number cars in classes. I suppose it helps spectators identify classes.
