So this is what Intersport is going to take on the race season with.
I'am guessing the Riley would be in LMP1, and the Lola in LMP2. So the rumors of the Courage are dead now right? |

The Lola pictured is (still) LMP1. It's their B01/60. I hope it's been properly repaired now...

What does this mean? Two cars that went unsold on ebay end up on the ground in Sebring for Winter Test. I am really puzzled (and pleased!) about the R&S. I am just out and out confused. They aren't going to run the R&S all season, I just don't see it. But why is it there, does it involve settling in with the Elan engine for something we don't know about?

If anything I thought they would send the Lola B01/60 to LMP2. They have a spot at LeMans so this would be the car that they would race there. Or they plan to race it in LMP1 full season, and run the R&S at select races.
Who knows? |

DSC reporting unofficial high 1:56's for the DBR9 on the first day of ALMS testing at Sebring. Oh yes, straight on the pace and by the sounds of things immediately inside Ron's pole time of 2004.

That R&S looks beautiful in those colours.
Wish we could see it at le Mans this year. The R&S always was fast so let's see how they are going to perform with it this year. |

Original plan was to be there Tuesday and Wednesday, however work obiligation has now made that Wednesday and Thursday. I even at one point offered to yank out a kidney so I could be gone on Tuesday, to no avail. That was before I knew an R&S was going to be roaring around. Now I may give both kidneys, but the great master of month end must be obeyed! GROAN!!!!! robert. |

Some Sebring testing times from the ALMS website:
http://www.americanlemans.com/News/A...spx?NewsID=812 Champion Audi #1: 1:47.557 (better than Biela's record of 1:48.029) Champion Audi #2: 1:48.073 Miracle Courage: 1:52.668 (not bad considering first time on Kumho tires) ACEMCO Saleen: 1:57.931 Aston Martin: 1:58.883 BAM! Porsche: 2:06.626 All times unofficial. |

Just noticed I reversed the car numbers for the two Audis. The #2 car set the quicker time.
Food for thought...2004 Pole Times: P1 - Champion Audi #38 = 1:48.710 P2 - Team Bucknum #56 = 2:01.034 GTS - Corvette #4 = 1:56.858 GT - BAM! #43 = 2:04.169 Last edited by jhansen; 1 Feb 2005 at 05:19. |

I think there's still a lot of work for some teams, especially in P2... that could explain why some are significantly behind the top GT1 teams...
