Monkey Head should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Japanese Sportcar endurance start on 2006

The news report translated to english:

Quote:
After a long time, new durable race/lace may start on the country. All the Japanese sport car durable championships (the tentative name) as, the new series from 2006 is planned. As for race/lace distance from 600km to maximum of 24 hours. If as for the participation vehicle it is and according to ル ・ man stipulation the series starts favorably, those where in the future also interchange with the foreign country is connected to activation it is expected. Presently, all the Japanese championships being applied 6 sections of formula ・ Japan and F3, rally, gymkhana, ダートラ, and kart. As for super GT because international serialization it is done from this year, all the Japanese championships are not applied. If it actualizes, it becomes all the Japanese durable championships ever since JSPC which is disputed by the group C car. Already, race/lace sectional meeting and motor sport conference have passed, if it is quick, it is the possibility that it is announced to around the middle of August, but as for this some extending, there is also a possibility of being delayed to September. The le mans stipulated machine which runs this championship, 4 types of LMP1 and LMP2, and GT1 and GT2 of prototype. When presently, LMES (European Le Mans durable championship) with ALMS (American Le Mans championship) 2 series and FIA GT are held in addition to Le man 24 hour race/lace, all the Japanese championships are held with identical rule, if it becomes, the possibility the interchange with Japan and the foreign country activating is high. Of course, while very, participating in encounter in the team which plans ル man participation the merit that is large it can advance preparation. As for listing the self-introduction as an opening area of this new series, 3 circuits of the MINE circuit, the Okayama international circuit, and sport land SUGO. Furthermore twin link have also the ぎ and the Fuji speedway to be listed by candidacy, as for first year 3? It may become opening in of 4 games. Furthermore, the Fuji speedway "has very strong interest, but concerning next year already schedule has been decided. As for present condition there is no movement that "it will be held in next year, the movement which we say, starts 2006 from time circumstances although it is not, seems that is observed in the movement of the series. It is the entrant who becomes matter of concern, but when the prototype machine can be sent in the country, when it becomes, first, at the point where existence of team going and the child dream which last year carry out synthesis victory with the ル man becomes matter of concern. Of course, if it becomes GT1 and GT2, may be also movement of the entrant who presently has participated to super GT and super endurance, and Suzuka 1000km etc..

Term 'Series' have been missed on title

Japan will start their own Sportcar endurance series on 2006
race distance is bewteen 600km to 24 hrs.
Technicial Regulation will follow the Le Mans rule
dividing to LMP 1/2 and GT1/2 four groups.

3 circuit has been selected : Okayama INT. Circuit,CP Mine and Sportsland SUGO
Fujispeedway is a candidate too.

What relation does the organisators have to the ACO?
Is this the proposed and long awaited Asian Le Mans Series?
Or is it something more independent?

an official lanuch will be kick-off to mid-augest(or september).
A furthermore information can be known on that time(such as organisator, typical calander....)

So this will follow current ACO regulations? Interesting. There had been a suggestion that Kazumichi Goh might start a series for old LMP900 cars, but I hadn't heard anything about races for current-spec LMPs.

Itd be better IMO if the series was running to current ACO/FIA regulations but this of course is better than no series at all. Maybe in a couple of years if the series grows and becomes sucessful it could adpot current ACO/FIA regulations like the LMES/FIA GT/ALMS (to a point) do.

Would be a great platform to see some Japanese manufacturers go for an LMP attempt at Le Mans (or GT's too)

Thsi sounds like something very interesting , like a Asian championship that runs to Le mans rules .

Now we just need Toyota to throw their hat at F1 !!

some of GT300 class Porsche GT3R would join them (or even switch)
many teams didn't modify their cars much and identical to FIA GT's GT3R

Super GT still could keeping their strong run.
I don't think manufacturer will pull out from Super GT easily
On the other hand some super taikyu class 1 team would join there
in case of media exposure of this series getting worse

......IMO it would be better to undo all the changes applied by the ACO to go back to the "old" LMP 900 cars, especially that ugly high ground clearance. Nobody (at least myself) was waiting for those all terrain vehicles with those enormous black "under construction" plates at the back of the car.......only look at taking pictures of those cars. I now not only have to worry about the scenery behind the car, but also UNDER the car. That's annoying.

This series is going to be run to current ACO/FIA regulations. They want to attract teams like Team Goh and Dome into the LMPs and see if anyone running ACO/FIA machinery in Super GT or Super Takiyu would like to change to their GT1/GT2 categories.

It is also Japan only, not Asian. Probably will be called the All-Japan Le Mans Series.

Lets hope this comes together and the amount of interested competitors is big enough that the series gets ACO-blessing for 2007 or 8!

When are the next detailed news expected?

From which existig series will cars/teams drop in? Would Super GT and Super-Taiku survive a loss of suitable competitors?
