marcostraz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
But how is the qualifying? Will IndyCar go to draw, right? Will we have to pick the exact draw positions?

I believe that they are drawing them, so just pick them and I'll score it based on 1 pt if correct or 0.5 pt. if in the Top Six, but the wrong spot.

I had to get the contest up in time for all of you to pick (they were late with the schedule and entry lists) and didn't find out about the race 2 grid until this morning.

I couldn't think of any other way to do it.

A couple of notes:

If you picked a 1st Out driver that is not 1st out, but DNFs, you'll get 0.5 pt for that.

If your driver crashes out of the 1st race and can't answer the bell for race 2 (let's say Andretti cracks up 2 cars in race 1...one of those two drivers will sit out...each TEAM gets a totla of ONE backup car/engine), I won't give him/her the 2 pts. for 1st out, because they weren't on the grid, but I will give you 0.5 pt., just because I'm a nice guy and this whole "Blind Draw" thing made half of our picks in this one a complete crapshoot that requires no skill or thought.

Thanks for your patience in this new race format...I appreciate it.

I don't like lottery grids... With a meritocratic system like double qualifying or heat 1 fast laps, I could have scored two podiums in the Pick Em Up. Congratulations to Tim and Daisy!

Chances were 1 in 30 to guess the pole man right, and I managed to pick the right one .... I should have put money on that!

I don't like them, either...but I'll be that Dario Franchitti REALLY hates them...

I think that if they are going to do a double header like that, they should take the finishing order from the first race and invert the field.
