Etten Leur
A new track from me, located in the real world. It is a semi-streetcircuit, at the northern edge of the town of Etten-Leur. From the last turn, until turn 5, the track is permanent, from 5 until 13 it is public road when there is no event running. The lenght of the track is about 5,8km.
There is a permanent kartingtrack included in this proposal. It uses the start/finishstraight in the reverse direction, and with a haipinturn enters into the pitlane. At the pitexit, there is an extra chicane. At turn 2 the kartingtrack leaves the main circuit to fiddle around a bit until it reaches the main straight again. Lets do a tour of the track. After crossing the finishline we drive flatout through a left- and a righthand kink, passing the bridge. Just after the second kink we have to brake and change back a few gears for the righthand turn 1. It is a pretty fast turn, as are the 2 lefthand turns at 2 and 3. A straight brings us to tun 4, a hairpin. It has a difficult approach. Because of a canal, there is a bridge in the brakingzone of turn 4, making the cars a bit unstable. It is not a lot of heightdifference, so it won't act as a ramp, but it's difficult nontheless. At turn 5 we hit the road from Zevenbergen to Etten-Leur. Turn 6 is tightened, so turn 7 can have a runoff area. Otherwise missing your breakingpoint for the fighthander would mean you had to be dug out of a pond. Now turn 6 is a mediumspeed lefthander, followed by the slow turn 7, where spectators have a great view of the action. At turn 8 you flash past the old windmill, on the way to an overtaking opportunitie. An 800m straight sets you up for the esses at 9 and 10. Tuns 11 and 12 have a touch of Monaco. At the drivers right there is a smal harbour for yachts. Turn 12 is a very slow hairpin on a roundabout. A few 100 meters later, you reach the 90-degree last turn. |

BTW, the blue parts are grandstands, and the yellow parts are grandstands too. De prices for the tickest of the latter are cheaper, since they don't give acces to the paddock.

This is a characteristic werner design. It's simple and effective. You have done it again! However, the runoff at Turns 2 and 3 might be a bit on the small side of things. What do you think?

I think it's about 30 meters. However, when it is indeed to small, it is quite easy to just move the track between 2 and 3 a tad to the west.
