Harley-Davidson withdraws from AMA Superbikes
It is official that Harley-Davidson is withdrawing its AMA Superbike efforts. Pascal Picotte has been released from his contract to pursue other teams. I am truly ashamed of this American icon and its feable attempt to represent American engineering and ingenuity on a global platform of competition.
Shame to Harley-Davidson! You are not what I thought you were made of. |

HD will never be able to make sports bikes because they do not understand how a sports biuke rider works.
The bike they used in Superbike was years ahead of its time and they just sat there and wasted away in the States without putting any presure on themselves. Picotte is world class and Duhamel showed that the bike could have been a winner, it just annoys me that the marketing department obviously held all the purse strings in this team and decided that they were not going to entice any more riders over to the crappy tractors they call motorcycles anymore. What a waste. Somebody buy the team and rename it someting like Indian, or Norton or something and bring the whole thing over to the UK, we will have it winning in no time. |
