Ps2

I got one for Christmas and got F1 2001 and Le Mans 24 Hours, and they are pretty good games. In Le Mans i love driving cars like the Peugeot 905 and Silk Cut Jag, plus the Audi R8, i'm gonna do the 24 hour soon, probably Petit Le Mans first though. F1 2001 is great too, ilove the manual gears and no traction control, it's a headache at first, but once you get used to it is so much fun

Le Mans is indeed a top game, certainly one of the best available on the PS2. F1 2001 however... the cracks start to show eventually.

Aaaaaah, I've just read your Gravel Trap thread and see you meant Formula One 2001. In which case, you have my deepest sympathies...

Then again, I think I'm just too bloody picky when it comes to F1 games...

yeah, eas f1 2001 deffently has some flaws like ... how can a minardi get a 1:30.2 at suzuka when ms did a 1:32 fastest qualifing lap? so far i think the minardi even has the best handling in that game. them and jordan that is. lol the bus stop at spa is much too fast to. just let off at the first braking marker, cost through the first part and floor it just after the first right. and this in sim mode. ive never tried normal ...

The Minardi does handle really well (as in real life) but for me it's a bit too slippy and oversteers. I prefer the Arrows or the Benetton.

The Bus Stop chicane is always done too wide and easy - the still-unbeaten F1 '97 is the last game to have done it right - ensuring you need proper braking to get through it! If you've seen it in real life you'll know just how tight it actually is. I don't know why EA never seem to do it right.

is it just me, or the faster the car is in rl, the more it understeers in the game? i know me and the front end of the williams/bmw just dont get along too well. lol

Is it better than the PS1 Le Mans game?

I really want to get a PS2 soon.

The Le Mans game for PS2 is a complete overhaul of the PSOne original and is therefore excellent, whilst the PSOne game wasn't up to much. For the PS2 it's pretty much essential for any racing fan.

I also got a PS2 for xmas with Gran Turismo 3 (that game is a dream) and Le Mans 24 hours, I love LM24 I've finished the game already, only thing I ain't done is the full 24 hours version of the Le Mans race, honestly how many people are gonna sit in front of a PS2 for 24 hours ? but I still like the game, my fave car is the Mercedes CLK sports car
