Michelin Tyres

Can anyone shed some light on the Michelin Intermediates. At Silverstone, i tlooked as if DC put on an Intermediate at his 3rd stop, and it looked as though the tread was the wrong way around. Some people say that the tyre was made up in the back of the garage, and they were desparate to try anything ?

I doubt the second story. "Some people" should visit a tire factory if they think that they can be whipped up to order in the back of a garage. As to the tread reversal; Could the team have put the tires on the wrong sides of the car? If true, how embarrassing.

Not sure if this helps at all. My championship races on treaded racing tyres. They are directional. To get the best performnce out of them we run the fronts backwards. Maybe it something like that here?

With wets or inter if you run them backwards they pump the water to the inside and cause the car to aquaplane. They could have grooved some dry tires but i'm not sure they are allowed. They looked to be a factory inter and I thought they put them on right. Who knows they didn't work to good, to hard would be my gess.
