Emery GT and other exotics

What has become of this?

In 1966 i saw this car at the grid of the 500km race at the Ring. It was an Emery GT with Imp engine. The Driver was was John Mockford, so far as i remembber.it was a lovely car, very low and small, but it did not finished and retired at section Hohe Acht, the highest point of the track, perhaps overheating the engine as result of the 3miles ascending from the bottom at Breitscheid.
I never saw an Emery again. Is there any survivor in the UK or anywhere in the world?

Have you a website of your photos ?. I'd say that you would have a lot historic photos from the 60's.
Thanks for sharing the Emery GT.

It is nice, to see some private pictures at this forum, you would not in magazines, but it is frustrating, that you always meet the same names, Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar.
Ask the makers about Nomad, Daren,Willment,or a Costin Protos....silence, never heard, not interesting...
Please more threads with all the colours (and pictures and stories)of best period of racing.

The Emery GT was a regular at British club meetings around 1966. Driver was John Markey.I think there only was one built. Paul Emery then got involved in F1 via the Shannon-Godiva.

There was more than one, Rob. The Emery was offered with Ford or Imp engines. See Georgano p435.

sorry, what is Georgano?
That Emery at the Ring 500km in 66 was dark green , hat a very long-tailed boot (Lemans Alpine A63 like)with a huge rear screen. Does it still exist?

Does anyone have anymore pictures of Emery GT's and any other photos. Apparently there were 4 made the original with alloy body and 3 more with fiberglass bodies. I believe that one came to the United States, white in color.
