Lucio Cesario

What is he up to these days, so much talent unfulfilled.

Was a star in Formula 2 in '82, had a drive with Moffat's Peter Stuyvesant International Mazda team for Sandown/Bathurst that year which went sour, had a horror 1983 in AF1, Costanzo's teammate in AF1 for '84, raced for Lancia in World Sportscars in 1985, dunno what happened in 1986, and wound up with Bond in the Alfa at Bathurst in 1987, but nothing since. I think he could have raced in F2 in the early 90s.

We always wondered where he had come from - I mean without being disrepectful he came out of nowhere into the Lancia squad (how?) drove a couple of times , as well as in c2 then vanished.

Is that place named after Frank by any chance? I remember Les Hiddins talking about him once upon a time.

The last i remember he drove a Ralt RT30 (I think it was RT30) in F2. He was supposed to be driving a F3 car a few years ago, not sure what happened there.

Yes, he made a memorable comeback to F3 in the early nineties but found himself up against equally aggressive drivers.

Those who raced against him rate him as one of the best ever.

I met Lucio when he was racing in Formula Pacific, I was working on an RT4 and Lucio had the same sponsor so we were teamed up alongside each other in the pits.
I had a few conversations with Lucio and found him to be a very nice person as well as a very good driver.
