Highlander should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What do you ride

Over the years I've had a number of road bikes all sports bikes but things change and after my last get off, I'm going for a Ducati S4. it's not my first choice but I think it will slow me down a bit. The lads down the pub are taking the p#ss as I will no longer be able to keep up but I'll be more comfortable on the trips to Assen.

So what do you ride and why

I would like to ride a motorcycle, but as this point in time don't have the time to get a licence. Plus I don't have the money for a bike anyway!!

Honda CBR600; old, but still fun (both the bike & the rider!).

Supermotard hhmmmm we call them superretards but a mate of mine runs one based on a XT600 Tenere, very good bike in traffic sitting up high, good visibility enough power to have some fun, also races it in F3 as well.

Sold my bike to go racing so the only riding I do is on the track,GN125 Bucket racer and F1 Sidecar.

duc st4s, previous bike a m900s monster. the st4s is great, not as fast as the monster in the tight stuf, I just needed a bike with some comfort. have you seen the 996 monster? s4r looks the goods.

Ducati ST2, '02 model with Staintunes. Good bike, nice sound, like you said though needs to be muscled in some situations.

Just blagged a test ride on a 999 even though the salesman knows I want an S4. I'll ask him about an S4R tomorrow but I might as well go back to sports bike and its probbly on my price backet.

I'll let you know how I get on as I've got 150mile limit on it

YYYYYYEEEEEEEEE HHHAAAAAA

RSV1000 handles like a dream, a CR250 rolling chassis with DR650 engine fitted!! OK don't laugh, I thought is was a bad move but then CCM started using the same engines in there bikes, The new CCM 400DR looks better though!!Oh and of course my LC. I don't have a car licence so I need the Super Motard for all year round riding, and I must say the English Councils have changed there SALT for roads to a highly corrosive alternative, My CR wheels are dieing!!!!

No worries Deej, alittle brain fade and a low speed get off, all fixed now, both me and the bike.

Everyday bike BMW K100RS get loads of **** taking about needing a pipe and slippers, but its a really good reliable bike. I also have a 1979 GS750 taken out to 844 and loads of other tuning bits. Animal to ride, sounds great, weaves in corners, but that just adds to the fun.
It easy to get a moden sports bike round a corner at silly speeds but the GS takes some work.

As I said I'd let you know how I got on with the 999.

Sunny Saturday I pick the bike up and Andy the salesman tells me that its not quite run in yet and that he'll be at donny later so don't try taking it on the track as I'm not covered buy insurance and if the tyres come back F###ed he'll get the sack then kill me, so bugger the first plan goes out the window.

I head north to find some twisties, Firstly you need the clutch to lift the front in first as its like an rc30. after playing aroung with the seat position for 15 min I found with the seat forward suited my style. I used to have a 748 so I maked my conparisons on that. Its narrow like riding a crosser but the wind protection is very good. I thought it would be a bit quicker and it realy needs a louder can/backbox thing. Also comming back from heartington nobody wanted to "have a go". Its not worth the money compared to a 916 as the style of the 916 out weighs the extra performance and handling also theres loads of deals to be done on new 996/998s. Its truely a bike to thats limits will only be reached on the track...Dam you Andy

Oh the S4R must be a Oz thing as no ones heard of one but they were all interested
