According to what I know the series does exist. Here is the web site address

http://www.bmwtransact.com/formula/index.htm

There is also a section on the www.bmw-motorsport.com web site.

From one team’s web site, team PTG, posted April 9, here is the team and driver listing. I have been talking with one team last week and they told me they were about to sign 2 drivers. So probably 10 drivers and 5 Teams.

(BMW junior drivers)
Graham Rahal (Team Rahal)
Jonathan Summerton (HBR Motorsport)
Tom Milner (Team PTG)
Billy Johnson (Team PTG)

(other drivers)
Tom Sutherland (Team PTG)
Red Bull driver Matt Jaskol (Team Autotecnica)
Alexis Fenton (Team Autotecnica)
Andreas Wirth (HBR Motorsport)

Here is the season schedule, official testing and race event. Unfortunately I did find any results from the 2 test days at Sebring earlier this week.

Racing Schedule

04.12.04 Sebring Test Circuit FB USA
04.13.04 Sebring Test Circuit FB USA

05.13.04 Mid-Ohio FB USA

Race Schedule

06.11-06.13 Circuit Gilles Villeneuve F1 3&4

Hope this could help you.

these little cars can't be that much fun to watch can they? Formula ford is the real deal fo huge mayhem and slding passing fields, imo.
these motorcycle engied cars still have a lot to prove.

oh yes i suppose so, so will FF200 be put aside? the "feeder" series mess is really at a peak these days, sooo many open wheelers vieing for the honor and money of being THE one to openwheel success and stardom...
i have a feeling BMW is a flash in the pan though..

Its the only one with good manufacturer support, heck BMW is actually giving out money to some of the drivers

Formula BMW USA

The series does indeed exist. It will run 14 races with Formula 1 and Champ Car beginning in May. Full information can be found on the official BMW website: www.bmwusa.com/formulabmwusa. There is also information on www.bmw-motorsport.com.
