89/90 DTM Toyota Supra/Opel Kadett???
I forget which year, but either in '89 or '90, there was a Toyota Supra racing in the DTM. Who ran it? Any Toyota involvement? What happened to it? Was that where the DTM Toyota rumors originated from?
As well, I noticed Opel raced the Kadett in the DTM? Were they all Works entries? Did Opel introduce the Omega part way thru the season? Were any 1/43 DTM Kadetts made?
I'm asking all these questions b/c I'm watching the DTM reviews in German language though. Too bad I don't understand what they're saying. I think only the '94 DTM was available in the english language? Does anyone have english language recordings of the '95 DTM or '96 ITC??

It ran by Bemani and driven by Philipp Muller, in 1989 and 1990 and I think it was a private effort.

Yeps, 1989 and any team too in 1990. i would say those teams had any kind of factory support certainly. Omega? If i remember correctly my DTM videos, 1990 was the first year for Opel Omega.
1/43 DTM Kadett? No idea.

Kmchow from what I remember, the Toyota's where run by a swiss tuning firm Bemani and from memory came from the ETCC.
The opels were run by Irmscher one of the drivers was Markus Oestriech (sp?) cant remember who was driving the other car.

I remember one East-German driver getting a Kadett on one race, and he rolled it, anyone remember where and who?

The only non-regulars who drove Kadetts in 89/90 K Thaler at the Nurburging and S Haider at Hockenheim (the final two rounds of the season), but they both appear to have finished the races and i'm not sure if they were East German

The place was Avus in Berlin IIRC, can't remember his name at the moment. And yes, he was EG.
Think I have something lying around about that, finding it is another thing.

Try www.dukevideo.com for GTCC races, AFAIK, in English. From the early 90s though.
I've got the 1993 DTM review and it's in English.
