Anyone around the area, I recommend you take the opportunity to hear Willem. he gave the best presentation I've ever enjoyed at a training day, and is an all round great bloke and marshal friendly too.

You'd expect a Swiss Flag to appear on his helmet at some point also?

I doubt it as the 3 flags he currently has on his helmet are to do with his heritage and not where he is working.

Willem actually has FOUR flags on his race helmet.

This is because he not only thinks about the past, but values the present.

Dutch... Birthplace
Australian... Raised there (28+ yrs)
Italian... So much life lived there
UK....... whilst not born here, considers himself British.

but who knows... maybe a Fifth as he takes on his new job. (currently looking for a new house now).

Whatever, best of luck Willem in your new job from all of us. (and happy house hunting to you and Sue)
