You have never heard from this series?? Gives since nearly six years!!
We have everything, ex- Le Mans drivers, sportscar enthusiasts and naturally "normal" people who own the cars.

nope i have never heard of this series but ive heard of charlie agg who won the lemans 2004 exebition race for group C lemans racers, the nearest the championship comes to me is silverstone so hopefully in the summer i can make it to silverstone, i love the jaguar's, these cars dont run noise restrictors now do they?, it would hurt to go to a meeting knowing that these cars have silencers on them

Hi dj choc ice,
Really sorry you couldn't make it at the weekend, the whole weekend was fantastic, especially marshalling on the G.P circuit. As regard the Group C race, Justin Law was terrific in the Silk Cut Jaguar and finished 2nd on both Saturday & Sunday, only beaten by the even faster!!! David Mercer in his Spice SE90C DFR, who got driver of the day on Saturday. All the cars were great, but I have to mention Henry Pearman in the Skoal Bandit Porche 956B, the 2 Bud light Jaguars and the awesome sound of the 2 Chevrolet powered cars (theMarch Chevrolet 84G and the Argo Chevrolet JM20C).
Thanks to all the teams involved for keeping these magnificent beasts running, I'm going to now see if I can change my calendar, to see if I can do Silverstone at the end of July.

You will enjoy it. The entry at Brands had some very good cars, if a little thin from previous years. Hopefully, S'stone will be good. Keep in touch with the web site posted earlier. Penny and Jim Graham do a marvellous job.

Cracking picture - was it Justin Law driving?

I was scanning some old pics over the weekend, some taken at the Jaguar debut at Mosport Park in 1985. This is not a patch on Mike Hoyers image, but I have posted it just to show that Mosport in those days was somewhere you could take quite good pictures from the spectator area!

Cheers,

Alan

I've managed to catch 3 Group C/GTP races, the first ever at Donnington in 99/2000?, Silverstone 2 hours Historic Festival and the ELMS support race in 2001.

You guys have got to organise another 'endurance' race of 2 hours+ running into the dark.

Would be great if we could see more races supporting the LMS and FIA GT, so many sportscar fans are missing out on these great cars.

I agree I went to the HSCC festival at Brands and the Group C race impressed me the most with the sight and sound. I always assumed that they didnt push the cars in historic racing but it looked like The Jag xjr and Spice were being driven hard

Not a patch on yours!

The things you can do with Digital Cameras these days is amazing compared to the old 35mm days. It's great to be able to see what you guys can do. Keep up the good work - and keep showing it to us!

here in the states, there was a vintage GTP group that tried to get kick started a few time, but never seemed to catch on...really a pity, as I love those prototypes!

kind of reminds me of the ol' Can-Am days...

HSR organise races for the old GTP and GpC cars and have been doing for some years now. They've also let the redundant WSc cars into the fray too. Take a look at their site at www.hsrrace.com.
