Sandy Watson

I noticed Sandy Watson's B39-77-07 BDA 1.6 (F Atlantic class in the European F2 race) at Brands Hatch in June of this year.

Keke drove B39 in NZ ONLY in 1978. David McKinney took all the Opert chassis nos, and they used B34s in 77.

B39-07 went to NZ but seems to have been intended as Laffite's car before his deal fell through. Opert said to McKinney that 07 had been Young's car [reported in NZMA] and it seems to have been the team spare. IF Keke drove it in NZ it was probably in practice at the first round.

Just spent ten grand on some bits for the kart which will last me a few months... If I had that thing, I could probably add another zero onto a similar type shopping bill !

Chevron B39

Hi there,
Thanks , iv just seen a posting on "Irish Formula Atlantics".
It say chassis number 3 was Patsys , and is now in the hands of Irishman Ronny Le Baa. I used to follow the Atlantics when i was a young fella and was just curious about what happened to those cars. I was a big Mc Garritey fan then.

B39-77-06 is up for sale at pretty optimistic price to say the least here.
